In Spotlight

Saturday December 2nd at the Pub on 61, BEAU Magazine celebrated 3 years of being Charleston’s forum for our LGBTAQI community. Publishing in December, 2014, BEAU Mag went quarterly throughout 2015 publishing 40,000 digest style hard copies and distributing them as far as Savannah GA, and into Asheville NC and Myrtle Beach. In 2016, BEAU Magazine expanded distribution into Charlotte and Atlanta while reducing the publishing times to bi-annually.

Recognizing the demand for current news updates and a superior digital platform, BEAU halted the print publication in 2017 focusing on building and cultivating our digital platform, BEAU-Magazine.com. The goal was to create a web presence that would allow our readers’ access updated and current local/ national news and spotlights. We also recognize the need for LGBT friendly businesses and services to reach out to our community as well as our communities need to do business with companies that do not judge us for who we are. In this revelation, we created the BizBEAU Guide, Charleston’s guide to our outstanding LGBTA friendly businesses and services.

Now we are headed into 2018, promoting our bright shiny new BEAU-Magazine.com and all its content. We will publish a BizBEAU Guide in print as well as digital to spread to all the surrounding distribution locations and businesses as well as the tourist-guide locations. In May 2018, BEAU Magazine will publish our brilliant upsized, pristine BEAU Magazine in print to be distributed at local and regional Prides as well as our current distribution locations.

We appreciate the support of our advertisers and sponsors throughout the last 3 years and ongoing. Without the dollars that these companies have exchanged in support, we would not be here. Thank you so much to you all and thank you for continuing to support and read BEAU Magazine!

Special thanks to William Brady as well as the whole crew of Top Notch Event Planning for the brilliant creation of the “Winter Affair,” Michele and Ingrid Brusseau as well as the entire staff of The Pub on 61 for the awesome venue, Jonatan Guerrero-Ramirez for his dedicated work with BEAU Magazine, and BEAU Magazine’s Lead Photographer, Douglas Carr-Cunningham for the epic snapshots! Can’t wait until 2018!!!
