On November 29th, Charleston kicked of the first event of our World AIDS Day (WAD) series with Open Mic Night at Fabulon Art Gallery. Proceeds benefit Empowerr Program and Ryan White Wellness Center. The event was emceed by Gina Moca with special thanks to Topher Larkin, Kesha McNeil, and Regina Duggins for the following photographs.

This Friday December 1st, Lowcountry AIDS Service (LAS) hosts their WAD Breakfast at The Marriott downtown from 8-10AM. More details on their Facebook Event Page HERE

And that night we will all gather in remembrance of the victims and families that suffered and still suffer from this epidemic. The candle light vigil will be at Unitarian Church of Charleston at 6:30pm. World AIDS Day is brought forth to not only remember and honor the victims and families but to also erase old stigmas of AIDS while increasing awareness in our teens and young adults. Support is welcomed and recognized by ALL.
